Admission Requirements
1). Applicants must be 17 years of age. (High school seniors require parental consent.)
2). High school diploma or General Equivalence Diploma (GED) is required for admission as regular student.
3). Students who do not have either one of the above credentials are required to take and pass the Ability-to-
Benefit test approved by the State.
4). Copy of birth certificate or other acceptable proof of age.
5). For foreign-born applicants, when any of the required documentation for admission is impossible to provide, an
affidavit of the same must be presented.
6). For Refresher Course, proof of completion of 1000-hr.course from a Cosmetology school or a license in Cosmetology.
School Hours
Day Session: Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. (8-mo. Program)); or Mon.- Fri. 9:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. (10 mo. Program). Night Session: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. & Sat.: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (13 mo. Program)

School is centrally located in the heart of Parkchester area of the Bronx, between Parkchester Rd. and Metropolitan Avenue, near Macy’s department store and Westchester Ave. /Whiteplains Rd. From the Cross Bronx Expressway, exit at Westchester Ave./Whiteplains Road. Public transportation: #6 subway train, (Parkchester/177 Street station) and X39, X36, X22, X4, X14 & Q44 buses.
